FLYINGSTAR / A considered perspective

What the app calculates—and what you still decide.

A transparent account of inputs, supported coverage and interpretive limits.

Scope of the method

FlyingStar connects a building polygon and selected location to its supported Flying Star interpretation workflow. It uses the selected date, language and chart inputs supplied through the app. The traditional interpretation corpus is finite; unsupported combinations must not be represented as independently researched new readings.

Geometry and location

The app checks the building outline and evaluates the selected point relative to it. GPS inputs include accuracy information. A point can be inside, confidently outside or uncertain in relation to the mapped footprint. Manual placement is available when the user has a better source of positional information.

A geometric center and directional segmentation are computational conventions. They should not be presented as the only approach accepted by every Feng Shui lineage. Building boundaries, apartments and irregular shapes can require practitioner judgment.

Chart inputs and timing

Supported calendar dates run from 2024 through 2035. Annual and monthly layers are distinct from property-specific natal assumptions. The app accepts supported natal star inputs; it should not be described as automatically deriving every building’s full natal chart from its construction history and facing alone.

Solar-calendar conventions and the selected time zone matter near boundaries. For exact transition questions, compare the relevant convention with a primary calendar source such as the Hong Kong Observatory solar-term data.

Interpretation versus evidence

The numbered stars and their associations belong to a traditional framework. Deterministic calculation does not establish that those associations cause health, financial or relationship outcomes. The service is educational and reflective, not medical, financial, structural or legal advice.

Device and service limits

Modern browsers vary in geolocation and orientation permissions and sensor availability. A smartphone is not a surveying instrument. Manual input remains important when location or heading is unreliable. The protected application requires an internet connection because proprietary calculations run in a Cloudflare Worker reached through the WordPress membership server.

Privacy in the calculation path

The browser sends the selected building coordinates, location information and relevant chart inputs to WordPress, which forwards the calculation request to the Worker. The application does not intentionally store those calculation payloads as membership records. Hosting, security and operational logs are separate and are described in the Privacy Policy.

How to report a discrepancy

State the intended result, selected inputs, device/browser and repeatable steps. Separate a numerical discrepancy from a disagreement about traditional interpretation. Use the contact form, and share only the location detail necessary to explain the issue.
